What can I do?

1: Find out more

The dangers facing snow leopards are complex and global. Knowledge is the first step towards helping to save these beautiful animals. Find out about the complex background and the dangers facing the snow leopard!

2: Share your knowledge

Many people like cats, but few are aware of the situation of their relatives in the wild. Talk to the people you know about the situation of the snow leopards and raise awareness of their plight. Perhaps you’ll recruit some new supporters for big cat conservation.

3: Do your bit for climate protection

If we protect the climate, we’ll be protecting the snow leopard. The effects of the global climate crisis are already clearly noticeable in the homelands of the big cats: the glaciers of Central Asia are melting, extreme weather events are on the increase, and desertification is harming ecosystems. In short: whether it’s saving power, getting on your bike or getting involved in politics – whatever you do for more sustainability will help to conserve the habitat of the snow leopard.

4: Sponsor a snow leopard

Sponsoring a snow leopard is a specific and targeted way to support NABU’s work to protect these animals: you’ll be fighting with us to ensure that these fascinating big cats have a future. You’ll be given direct insights into NABU’s work, and will be closely involved with our snow leopard project.
